Druids vs. rangers[]

The Companions all have level up stuff at Master Level 5. I'm guessing that's for Druids. What about the Companions for Rangers? Do they start with the Master Level 5 stuff since a Ranger is 6th level when they get their Companions? Grom56 03:52, March 18, 2011 (UTC)

  • A level 6 ranger and a level 6 druid would have identical animal companions (assuming they chose the same animal). The same goes for levels 7-40. The only difference is that a ranger cannot neither select nor summon an animal companion before level 6. --The Krit 04:18, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
  • Hmm... looking at the question again, maybe a better way to look at it is not that the animal companions get something at master level 5, but that at level 5 (and up), the master qualifies for an improvement to its companion? After all, it's not like the animal companions go through a level-up process. There simply are blueprints for each animal companion for each master level. --The Krit 04:25, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
  • True, so far as that goes. I guess it's more like a new improved companion then a leveled up old one. But my question was mainly as to weither the Rangers companion started as a Master level 5 or master level 1 companion. And that question was nicely answered. :-) Grom56 01:15, March 20, 2011 (UTC)
