All this material should probably be moved from "Effects" to "Effect", isn't that what the Manual of Style says? That's a lot of links to change. Is there a way just to rename the article and have all the links follow automatically? // Brick Thrower 07:32, 1 January 2006 (PST)

No, having a plural name is correct for a category. An article about items should be named Item, but a category of items should be named Category:Items. Here's Wikipedia's guidelines if you want to get into the nitty gritty.
As far as renaming a category, no, there isn't a way to automatically update all the category links -- each needs to be changed manually. -- Alec Usticke 11:19, 1 January 2006 (PST)
Okay, so I should probably add some description to both Category:Effects and effect to differentiate them. That was confusing to me. // Brick Thrower 13:57, 1 January 2006 (PST)
I don't understand. One is an article describing what an effect is and the other is a category of effects. What clarification is needed? -- Alec Usticke 14:01, 1 January 2006 (PST)
When I go to the Category:Effects page, I see an article titled "Effect". If it was a sub-category I would think OK, but I see it listed as an article. Should the content under Effect be moved into Category:Effects? There is no text there now. // Brick Thrower 14:06, 1 January 2006 (PST)
Okay, I think I understand what you're asking. Categories should have a very short intro, but the article should have all the details. In this example, there's not much there, but see Skill and Category:Skills for another example (NWNWiki:Manual of style#Category introduction). -- Alec Usticke 14:24, 1 January 2006 (PST)
