A construct is an animated object or artificially constructed creature. Since they do not depend on the functioning of organs, they are immune to sneak attacks, critical hits, mind-affecting spells, paralysis, poison, and disease. Since they are not actually alive, they are immune to death magic, level drain, and ability drain. As they lack their own consciousness, their alignment is usually true neutral. The great magic required to animate the more powerful golems makes them immune to some or all spells.
