Description: This spell attempts to strip all magical effects from a single target. It can also target a group of creatures, attempting to remove the most powerful spell effect from each creature. To remove an effect, the caster makes a dispel check of 1d20 +1 per caster level (to a maximum of +10) against a DC of 11 + the spell effect's caster level.

BoW Changes

Dispel Magic: The maximum to the caster's caster level has been changed to a percentage of character level: Lesser Dispel 25%, Dispel Magic 50%, Greater Dispel 75%, and Mordenkainen's Disjunction 100% -- except for Bards, Cleric & Druids (or dispel traps), in which case it is caster level - 15 (Lesser Dispel), caster level - 10 (Dispel Magic) & caster level - 5 (Greater Dispel). However, there is a secondary maximum of the target's character level for all spells. Spell Focus (Abjuration) and Arcane Defense (Abjuration) provide bonuses to the dispel check. The caster level is further adjusted by the difference between the target's caster level and character level, but only if the target can cast level 4 spells. For example, if a Sorcerer 40 with Epic Spell Focus (Abjuration) casts Mordenkainen's Disjunction on a Cleric 20 / Rogue 20, the Sorcerer's caster level would be 40 + 6 - (40 - 20) = 26.
