- This article is about the creature; for the shifter shape, see Greater wildshape III.
Driders are bloodthirsty creatures that lurk in the depths of the earth, seeking warm-blooded prey of any kind. All drow must pass a special test set upon them by their goddess Lolth. Those who fail become doomed to suffer existence as the half-drow, half-spider drider. Drow and drider hate one another passionately.

Special abilities[]
The arrows used by driders are venomous, causing d2 constitution damage on-hit if a DC 14 fortitude saving throw is failed. Each drider carries two stacks of these arrows (198 arrows).
This creature can cast magic missile twice per day as a spell-like ability with a caster level of 6. Similarly, it can cast darkness and web, each once per day as spell-like abilities, also with a caster level of 6.
Notes[]
- A drider has no melee weapon. While it cannot be disarmed, if the AI (or a DM) determines that a drider should put away its bow, it will use its creature weapon, inflicting d4+3 slashing damage and causing wraith spider venom on monster hit. (This also reduces its attack bonus by one, as it no longer gets the +1 from its bow.)
