Description: In the eyes of all non-allied creatures within the area of effect, the personal reputation of the caster is improved by 50%. The caster can charm up to twice his hit dice in creatures.
Notes
- The in-game spell description is incorrect with regards to the duration. This spell's duration is 1 round per 2 caster levels.
- When extended, this spell lasts 1 round per caster level, which is marginally more than twice the non-extended version at odd caster levels.
- Unlike most charm spells this spell can charm player characters and their associates.
- The spell will only attempt to charm humanoids, but it will skip over non-humanoids and those with too many hit dice without including their hit dice into consideration for the total.
- The actual total hit dice of those that the spell can attempt to charm under ideal circumstances is one less than described (that is 2 times caster level minus one).
- Merchants under the influence of this spell will often suffer a -15 penalty to their appraise check for bartering prices when opening their store (this ideally means that the change in prices for buying and selling is adjusted 15% (of the item's value) in the PC's favor).
