The Land of Nordock is one of the oldest and most popular NWN persistent worlds. The module was created originally as a "placeholder" world to run on Marc "richterm" Richter's NWN server for when he wasn't running games for friends...but the world quickly became popular enough that Marc decided to run with it full time. Today, Nordock is a franchise consisting of several variants of the world hosted on professional level hardware in Texas by Doug "Serverhost" Rhea.
In the fall of 2002, Marc released the current running version of Nordock to the general public via Neverwinter Vault. Permission was given to all to download, host, hack and reuse Nordock as they saw fit and the public went nuts. Today, one can find Nordock variants all over the globe.
