Rest

Resting allows your character to regain lost hit points and memorize spells. Any creatures your character has summoned will be unsummoned, and any lingering spell effects you have cast will dissipate upon resting. Resting also removes ability damage caused by poisons, however a disease may manifest itself after its incubation period after the player rests and fails his/her fortitude save.

Notes

  • The Hordes of the Underdark campaign and a number of Persistent World Gameworlds introduce the possibility of your character's rest being interrupted by monsters. This prevents all the benefits of the rest (from full health regain and fully memorised spells) though some may have succeded (spells become fully memorised at various stages during the rest, with lower level spells becoming memorised earlier. Health regain is a gradual effect over the duration of rest).
  • Some Persistent Worlds have modified the default resting behaviour to more accurately reflect D&D. In those instances you do not fully recover hit points and are restricted in how often you can rest.
