Spell focus

Type of feat: general (available every three level-ups)
Prerequisite: ability to cast first-level spells
Required for: greater spell focus, arcane defense

Specifics: A character with this feat is adept in a certain school of magic, granting a +2 bonus to spell save DC for all spells cast from that school.

Use: automatic. This feat may be selected multiple times, but the effects do not stack. It applies to a different school of magic in each case. Gnomes receive spell focus (illusion) for free at level 1.

Notes

  • Spell focus does not apply to spells that are granted as special abilities.
  • Spell slots of "0" satisfies the first-level spell-casting prerequisite, so long as the character's unmodified Ability modifier gives one bonus spell (i.e. is 12).
