No what I meant was the game will not allow you to cast this spell with the still spell feat at all. I.E. a bard cannot cast clarity as a still spell with the still spell metamagic feat.

True, it want allow to you silence Clarity, but ppl will still want to know why. I thought giving that answer was a good idea. If you want to re-add your information. Go ahead, but somewhere in there I think it a good idea to point out about the verbal comp. -- Pstarky 06:45, 1 Dec 2005 (PST)

If you are dazed, you can't cast the clarity spell, but you can drink a clarity potion to get rid of the effect.

It also protects against auras, i.e. the type dragons have around themselves that cause fear, if it's mind affecting.

The in-game spell description lists this spell as Necromancy. Is this wrong? --169.231.1.197 22:55, 12 June 2007 (PDT)

  • Yes and no. Yes, that (meaning your claim of the description) is wrong; the in-game spell description says "Abjuration", or at least it does in 1.68 with both expansions. No, that (meaning being Necromancy) is not wrong; Clarity is listed as necromancy in the .2da that determines how the game treats the spell. --The Krit 10:49, 23 June 2007 (PDT)

Does drinking a Clarity potion get rid of silence? --VgWizard14 4:54, 27 August 2007

  • Gust of wind (e.g. from a scroll) will get rid of silence -- 05 September 2007 (UTC)

Clarity "protection"?[]

The description states "protects against all mind-affecting effects" besides eliminating the listed mind effects.

In what form is this "protection" expressed... increased Will saves? immunity (like Mind Blank)? increased SR (like against Fear)? --Iconclast 03:47, November 24, 2011 (UTC)

It is immunity (as with mind blank) to all mind-affecting effects.WhiZard 16:30, November 24, 2011 (UTC)
