Displaying all dice rolls in combat/chat log[]
Is there a way to display all dice rolls (especially skill rolls)? So that we know whether "success is possible/impossible" for skills like Appraise, Persuade, etc. --175.145.183.234 15:57, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- If it's scripted then yes; otherwise no. Appraise and persuade checks are always scripted, so one could rewrite those scripts. Just be aware that the original script writer did not use the simple GetIsSkillSuccessful approach, so there is reason to suspect that those rolls were intended to be secret (rolled by the DM in pencil-and-paper terms). --The Krit (talk) 00:51, August 20, 2015 (UTC)
I see, so the campaigns basically want to keep secret from the player whether "success is possible/impossible" for skills like Persuade and Appraise, but they are ok with telling the player whether Disarm Trap will never be successful. 219.92.173.19 13:56, August 20, 2015 (UTC)
- What would "success is possible/impossible" even mean for a skill roll like appraise? A skill like that isn't usually applied in such a way that a boolean interpretation of the results is very useful. - MrZork (talk) 01:00, August 21, 2015 (UTC)
- I understand what you mean. That's why I would like to echo/display the actual dice rolls, so that the player can accurately and quantitatively see all the information, especially for skills/effects with several cases. 219.92.173.19 07:55, August 21, 2015 (UTC)
