Hold[]

The BioWare text in this article refers to "hold" effects. The hold spells use the paralyzed effect. Since paralyzed is already mentioned, should "hold" link to hold person? --The Krit 16:42, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Yes I think it needs to lead somewhere perhaps just redirect it to paralyzed with a note added paralyzed in stating they are the same that or have a small hold stub under the name Hold that states it is the same as paralyzed (probably a better Idea to avoid the problem in the future). --EmpireGuard 00:10, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
  • Hold might refer to bigby EffectCutSceneImmobilize(), that doesn't paralyse but hold the person in place? ILKAY 13:24, July 31, 2011 (UTC)
  • I don't think BioWare was thinking of the cutscene effects. More likely, the text was written before BioWare decided to use paralysis for hold person. However, I did come across something that might be relevant, but forgot to mention here -- there is an "on-hit: hold" item property. Has anyone checked to see what that actually does? --The Krit 16:26, July 31, 2011 (UTC)

No critical hit on PC[]

  • One other thing I think the note about “No critical hits on PCs.” Needs to be changed to “Non-PC’s will not cause critical hits” (or something like this) because, unless this is just at the sever I use (and I don’t think it is) PC’s can cause critical hits on other PC’s. I have also never seen a Non-PC cause a critical hit on another Non-PC. --EmpireGuard 00:10, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Very Hard multiplier[]

My test results have the damage range doubled (e.g. from 1-3 to 1-6, and 1-10 to 1-20) with each result have the same probability if only one die is rolled in the original damage. My testing uses EnableCombatDebugging to remove extraneous damage (e.g. strength modifier, damage bonuses). For this reason, I reverted the edit which made 1d10 doubled to 2d10.
