Advantage of Displacement over Improved Invisibility[]
As this discussion is already noted in the article on displacement, it may be added that Displacement has no verbal component, and unlike improved invisibility can be cast in armor with no need to check arcane spell failure.
To achieve the same capability with improved invisibility would cost three feats: still spell, auto still spell I and auto still spell II, epic wizard sorcerer or palemaster level and the ability to cast 9th level spells, or equipment that has properties which decrease arcane spell failure.
