What does '-2 to magical damage' entail? --82.9.227.110
- Basicly that just reduce magical damage by 2, such battletide, divine favor or any bonus that is magical. But i doubt that work on battletide and divine favor since that damage is apply directly to the PC. Maybe that work on weapon extra damage. - The damage decrease effect does indeed work against damage increase effects and the weapon damage bonus of that type of damage. The penalty cannot reduce the total damage in that damage type to below 1 unless no damage of that type would normally be dealt. On critical hits the influence of damage decrease is significant, reducing all but the more powerful damages to 1. I have yet to develop an equation for damage decrease on a critical hit due to its odd behavior. If attacking a placeable the damage decrease effect (if not a physical damage type) will reduce only weapon damage and not damage increase effects. WhiZard 11:52, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
