Fictional... well, more fictional elves?[]

What setting does those other elves come from? As it is noted that FR has only four added subraces for elves. -- Pstarky 09:00, 9 Oct 2005 (PDT)

  • The Forgotten Realms are of Faerun a very diversified world. Silvermoon is a city of Elves, the races of elves also include the Drow or dark elves that were cast down for being evil. As in the Never Winter Nights Hordes of the Underdark. The player classes of Elves in the original AD&D were for the Faerun world were Sun (Gold), Moon, Wild and Wild Elves. They each have special abilities for each race besides the standard Dex+ and Con-. There are many books written about the Forgotten Realms. Good reading. --206.40.97.214 May 11, 2006
  • As far as I know, the Elves of Faerun consist of: Aquatic Elves, Avariel, Drow, Moon Elves, Sun Elves, Wild Elves, and Wood Elves. Dragonlance adds: Kagonesti, Qualinesti, Silvanesti, and Sea Elves. There are also other types of Elves such as Snow Elves (Frostburn) and Painted Elves (Sandstorm). While it's true that there are a billion and one Elvish subraces, I don't know some of the ones on the Elf page exist in any printed source though I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I'm all in favor of removing them unless someone makes sections for them and can point out where they're found. --Countess Terra 06:26, 16 May 2006 (PDT)
  • I can say with 100% certainity that those elven subraces do not exist. We should keep this Forgotten Realms -specific, and the Forgotten Realms subraces are: Moon elves, Sun elves, Wood elves, Wild elves, Drow, Avariel, Aquatic elves and Star elves (First introduced in the Unapproachable East sourcebook, detailing the Eastern areas of Faerûn) --Visitor, April 7, 2007
  • And I can say with 100% certainty that the ones listed of Faerun are indeed of Faerun and moreover that the Mithral or Star elves of the Sildëyuir are missing. Note that 3.5 added a lot of subraces (not to mention the core subraces which could perhaps be argued to extend into Faerun). Do some research before posting next time. --68.203.8.98 April 21, 2010
  • NWN is based on 3.0, so anything added in 3.5 is not really relevant. --The Krit 10:28, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

Height and weight[]

Forgotten Realms Campaign setting doesn't have elves much shorter than humans. That would be Greyhawk with short elves. FRCS isn't OGL, or else I would quote it. -- Anon, May 16, 2006
