Incomplete topics Edit
Reading this article, I noticed a few incomplete descriptions.
1) Unlike normal leveling, LevelUpHenchman() does not allow for a non-automatic feat to be taken unless the character at the current level meets all prerequisites. This means epic feats will not be selected until leveling to character level 22 or later and you cannot have two feats taken on the same level where one is a prerequisite of the other.
2) In addition to the ability feats, RDD ability increases also do not aid in qualifying for a feat in the same level. An extra skill point is also not awarded in that level for feats that bump the intelligence modifier up by one.
3) Shifted ability overrides do not count toward taking a feat. Rather, any racial change within the polymorph may be used to qualify. In this case a halfling with 21 strength leveling up in a shifted form can take overwhelming critical even if the strength override for that form is less than what is needed. Dragon shape, however, does not help qualify a character for perfect health, devastating critical, self concealment, etc. simply by its large abilities. DrakeNight (talk) 02:35, April 5, 2013 (UTC)
- #1 is really only of interest to module builders, so would be better off under
LevelUpHenchman()(not that it would make a difference to most of them since last I checked, few people understood how packages worked). #2 is a big reason why I removed explicit mention of the great ability feats, replacing it with "bonuses from feats". The extra skill point not applying should be somewhat obvious from the order of level-up (skill points are gained and spent before feats are obtained), but more to the point, that has gone rather off-topic for general feat. For #3, That seems like a good reason to remove the current last paragraph of the article. Better than my thought that that sort of information is better off localized to the polymorph and level-up articles. --The Krit (talk) 05:04, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
