Multiple greases[]

I added the effects of multiple greases two the Notes section. I still need to refine my phrasing for clarity, but I'll do it when it isn't christmas *wink*

Minimum speed[]

I took a swing at re-organizing the notes. As part of this, I ended up dropping the mention of the game's minimum speed. That could be added back if it is thought to be worthwhile. (I was thinking of the likelihood of getting more than three castings to overlap combined with the fact that the minimum is not really part of the spell.) --The Krit 17:48, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Ghostly Visage doesn't make you immune to the Knockdown effect?[]

So I tried the combo today. I had Ghostly Visage cast on myself, which should have made me immune to any 1st level spell. I cast Grease and ran into the area but I kept getting knocked down. I thought that I wouldn't be knocked down if I had Ghostly Visage cast on myself. I thought it was strange so I thought I should add a small note on this page. • That information is already in this article: "Spell resistance does not protect from this; staying on one's feet requires passing the saving throw (or immunity to knockdown)." What was missing was an indication that ghostly visage uses a spell immunity effect. I've added that, and following the pattern of spell mantle, added a note as well. --The Krit (talk) 02:40, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
  • Thank you so much for your diligence. Maybe in layman's terms, the magical effect caused by Grease is the speed reduction: that effect is cancelled by Ghostly Visage. However, the grease on the ground causes a physical effect of slipping and falling which is not cancelled by Ghostly Visage. In other words, the magic conjured the grease but the grease itself is a physical reality so spell immunity does not protect from it. HolyGuardian80 (talk) 13:31, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
