Question: With this feat, does it execute the WW first, and then a regular melee attack? And if so, will great cleave kick in should that melee attack kill it's target? --67.82.127.176 19 February 2009

  • What happens after the whirlwind attack depends on what you've queued up. A whirlwind attack is itself a "full attack action" (meaning it takes a full round) and as part of this full attack action, an attack is made against each opponent within 10 feet; it's not a full attack action followed by a melee attack. After the whirlwind is done, the PC will resume normal attacks (with normal consequences) unless there is another special attack queued up. --The Krit 22:33, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

The Whirlwind Lockup Bug[]

I noticed that the description of Improved Whirlwind does not mention the lockup bug (when executing a Whirlwind attack on precisely 3 targets in a Linux/Mac server). Can we assume then that the improved version of Whirlwind does not have this bug, or was the omission just an oversight? Terocone 18:51, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

  • I think it's an oversight, but I have never been all that clear on when it occurs. (Hence a reason I have not added it here.) --The Krit 02:41, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
