Max 100 Edit

According to armor.2da, the max dex bonus for AC 0 (base/clothing) is actually 100. Not sure if this is interpreted by the engine as actually being 100 or if it is considered unlimited (though the point is probably academic). Kato 22:43, 2 June 2006 (PDT)

  • Highest possible dex modifier is possibly a halfling/elf starting with 20 dex, then adding 10 from level-ups plus 10 great dex epic feats. Throw in the +12 ability cap from magical equipment to get final dex of 52 which is a modifier of 21. 100 is probably Bioware's method of making sure the engine doesn't make a mistake.   • Has anyone tested this with a custom sub-race with an absurd Dexterity modifier to try and force the Dexterity bonus above 100 just to see if it works or not? lol shrug kinda pointless but I am curious.... --71.219.154.152 16:44, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
  • I had no interest in testing custom subraces, but a thought out of the blue reminded me of this question and made me realize that the described procedure is much more involved than necessary. A quick use of dm_setDEX 250 and dm_enablecombatdebugging 1 were all that was needed to see that clothing does not have a +100 max dex bonus in the game. --The Krit (talk) 16:01, July 15, 2012 (UTC)
