Durations[]
I am wondering about the original version of a note: "The true strength of this spell is its duration. All of the higher tier summon spells last only 1 round/level or shorter." I read "higher tier" as including high-level non-epic spells, such as black blade of disaster and gate, both of which last rounds per level. However, that interpretation ignores elemental swarm and summon creature IX. That's for level 9 spells; if we include level 8 spells, there is greater planar binding lasting rounds per level and create greater undead and summon creature VIII lasting 24 hours. So what I am seeing is that regardless of the cutoff for "higher tier", the number of summoning spells lasting 24 hours is at least the number lasting rounds per level. Is the note just misguided? I could see linking the two epic summoning spells, but comparing them is probably something that could be left to the reader. --The Krit (talk) 06:41, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Dismissal & banishment[]
