Rolls and bonuses[]

Shouldn't the term "Attack Rolls" be corrected, as the feat actually adds to attack bonus, which is a different term altogether. The same mistake is true for the the weapon masters epic weapon specialization description, both of which implies that the bonus is added to the d20 roll, which would effect the outcome of a critical hit or lackthereof.

"Above ground" terrain type also needed to qualify[]

The tilesets that are exceptions to the purely "natural" qualifier are: barrows interior, mines and caverns and underdark. Only the vanilla resources have been checked but since the qualification is hard-coded, this probably applies to the custom tilesets as well. (Will be checking the other tileset-specific feats to determine whether the descriptor "wilderness" is consistent throughout.) --Iconclast (talk) 18:17, July 30, 2014 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure how to parse that. Do you mean tilesets that become exceptions when used with their default area settings? I thought the tileset was not a factor for nature sense, hence the reason the note says that appearances can be deceptive. If, for example, someone makes an area with the barrows interior tileset and changes the area's property from "below ground" to "above ground", then nature sense applies in that area, doesn't it? --The Krit (talk) 22:12, August 24, 2014 (UTC)
  • The way I understand it while checking the defaults to understand the mechanics is that the actual graphic representation means little. It's the two settings for "natural" and "above ground" that need to be assigned so that nature sense (and whatever that other feat was, I forget atm) will have impact on the character's stats. The default terrain designs seem to have made an effort to maintain some consistency between the appearance and the actual settings chosen, but as you have proposed, a designer could set a castle basement to be natural and above ground so that nature sense will work there. But it still requires both settings to function correctly, not just "natural" as the article stated before. --Iconclast (talk) 23:28, August 24, 2014 (UTC)
  • OK. I was just thrown by the statement that tilsets are exceptions, when the tileset does not matter. For custom tilesets, I would expect the default settings to be reasonable if made by someone who knows what they're doing, but hold back all expectations for less accomplished tileset creators. (As with other custom content, the quality can vary greatly. ;) ) --The Krit (talk) 23:34, August 24, 2014 (UTC)
