Note on elder earth elementals ?[]
This spell used to include elder earth elementals as a possible summons, but their large size often caused problems navigating dungeons. This note may cause some confusion, since elder air elementals are, in fact, larger than elder earth elementals (huge versus large). Perhaps something other than what we think of as size category in the wiki was in play (perhaps a mesh property, bounding box, etc.). If that's the case, maybe revising the statement to mention the actual issue or at least not mention size would be better? - MrZork (talk) 07:56, December 14, 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, that note is about model size (more precisely, the bounding box), not combat size category. Maybe replace "size" with "model"? Or perhaps with "girth", since technically the model does not affect pathfinding, and "girth" is probably at least as understandable to the average player as a technical explanation. --The Krit (talk) 08:32, December 14, 2014 (UTC)
- Good call. I would be fine wording it as "[...] but the large bounding box used for that creature caused difficulty navigating dungeons." But, my preference for slightly more technical explanations may not be ideal here. Until someone wants to add more detail or another link (I didn't see a bounding box article in this wiki), I have changed the note to use "girth" as suggested. - MrZork (talk) 19:44, December 15, 2014 (UTC)
