Re-cast[]

- Well, it can be, but there are a couple of reasons why you may not want to plan on it. First off, you won't know what you rolled until you get hit in combat (so be prepared for a little combat casting if this is your plan). Second, the spell only lasts rounds per level. At low levels, you probably would be better off using all your castings in sequence instead of throwing some away by going for the maximum bonus, and at higher levels the possible relative gain goes down. (At caster level 7, a recast could increase damage 62.5%, but at caster level 40, the increase is at most 12.2%.) Third -- and this should get added to the article I guess -- if you did not get the minimum roll, there is a chance that the damage will go down after the recast. --The Krit (talk) 03:08, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
