Prerequisite: epic shifter
Specifics: The character with this ability can transform into a selection of powerful undead creatures three times per day: risen lord, vampire, and spectre.
Use: selected. After choosing this ability, the character must select an undead type to change into.

- Requires Hordes of the Underdark.
- This form of shapeshifting cannot be dispelled.
- This feat does not actually require one to be an epic shifter. It can be taken starting on shifter level 10 (when the shifter gets greater wildshape IV).
- Unlike the other epic shifter feats, undead shape does not require a minimum wisdom score.
Forms[]
- The statistics for the undead forms are given in the following table. Strength (str), dexterity (dex), and constitution (con) values override the shifter's base ability scores. Bonuses in the hit point (HP) column are temporary hit points, while bonuses in the armor class (AC) column are dodge bonuses. The "merge" column indicates the inventory slots from which item properties will merge.

- All undead shapes receive the following immunities: disease, critical hits, death magic, level drain, ability drain, mind-affecting spells, paralysis, poison, and sneak attacks.
- Drinking healing potions in any undead shape will be treated as a hostile touch attack action which will harm the character if the attack roll succeeds.
- Off-hand weapon and bracer/gauntlet/glove properties never merge.
Spectre
- The +2 turn resistance provides no benefit for a player character.
